50 Pesos Philippine CAGAYAN w/ Revenue Stamp WW2 Banknote
Cagayan Emergency Certificate. Commonwealth of the Philippines. With revenue stamp and dry sealed. Used during the Japanese Occupation 1943. Shows wear due to age. Still a desirable note. SCARCE in large denomination, this 50 pesos is missing in most collection.
Mimeographed on various color of paper. Notes were folded and glued together with silk treads between folds. An internal Revenue stamp of equivalent value was affixed on the left side of each note., which was the serially numbered and embossed with the official seal of the provincial government . Sample notes without revenue stamp or seal, were distributed to municipal treasurers to be posted in public areas.
